As most of you know a while ago I wrote the post titled The Future of a Tribe called Hess which shared how Myra and I feel that the next step in our faith journey is to go forth and plant a church. At the time that piece was written we believed we had a location in mind…however, as things do when God is in the mix that has changed. Though we have settled on a place that we feel may be the spot I’m not ready to disclose it yet but rest assured I will in the days to come.
That said this post is to bring to your attention a fundraising campaign that we have launched in order to raise some funding to do some needed ministry-related traveling. The purpose of this fundraiser is two-fold:
1) Raise the needed funds so that we can travel to, and attend, the Unified Underground conference this October in Maryland. The purpose of this trip is to connect with Anchor Mission USA (AMUSA) folks, make important ministry connections, and network with like-minded people.
2) Gather together the money required for us to travel to Tennessee this coming November. This trip will allow us to meet with Dale Hall the Associate Director of AMUSA; by doing so we can complete the next phase of the Church Planting Assessment process.
Due to a few different reasons we have been able to set the needed amount of funding to what we feel is a realistic goal. That goal… $460.
