Jason Hess, CJ

Jason HessJason currently resides in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia with his amazing wife, Myra, who is both his faithful companion and ministry partner on this journey called life. Together they have three of the most incredible children to ever live (1g, 2b).

When not Bible-slinging or bug-slaying you will typically find Jason convincing his wife and kids about the supremacy of the longest running sci-fi television series, Doctor Who, over every other television show.

Jason has held ministerial credentials with the General Council of the Assemblies of God and currently holds them with Next Leadership Association (NLA). He is also a third-order Franciscan in the Company of Jesus, an ecumenical order anchored in the Anglican tradition. He also sits on the Board of Directors for LivingStone Monastery located in Newport News, Virginia.

Currently, Jason & Myra are in the early stages of exploring the possibility of planting a church through Anchor Mission USA.

He has served pastorally in three churches.

  • Youth Pastor – North Carolina
  • Youth Pastor – Arizona
  • Assistant Youth Pastor – Virginia

Jason is also a contributing writer for Red Letter Christians, Sojourners, and Everyday Christian.
